Charles Ven Borden, Sr. | Charles Ven Borden, Sr. served in the US Navy during WWI and was listed on Delanco's original WWI Honor Roll. He served in from 1917 to 1919 aboard the USS Von Stuben and attained the rank of Fireman 1st Class. He survived when his ship was sunk by the Germans. He married Fannie Lippincott and his family lived on Pennsylvania Avenue. They were very active at Dobbins Memorial Church in Delanco.
